Florida Red Roof Inn rebrands as Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach

CLEARWATER BEACH, Fla. — Magnuson Hotels, the world’s largest independent hotel group, announced on July 15 the complete rebranding of a Clearwater, Fla. Red Roof Inn as the Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach.

This 72-room former Red Roof Inn of 10 years sought to elevate its local, regional and national market exposure with the Magnuson Hotels brand designation.

Seeking a better alternative to the present corporate franchise model, owner Martin Cole started investigating Magnuson Hotels over eighteen months ago.

“We just never seemed to reach our expectations with the business as it always favored the franchise and not the owner.  Going with Magnuson provides us with the ability to move ahead to a more profitable operation and allows us to continue to improve our guest’s experience,” Cole said.

“We are also looking forward to the increased online reservation presence Magnuson Hotel offers so we can share the individuality of our location with future guests,” added Cole.

Corporate, educational and leisure travelers will enjoy the Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach located on the new “Beach Walk” right on the gulf.  Nearby attractions include marina and gulf cruises, Jet Ski rentals, Para sailing, Deep Sea fishing, many restaurants, Pier 60 and Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which is just five minutes away from the hotel.

Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach guests will enjoy deluxe rooms with data ports in each room, free wireless Internet, free continental breakfast, guest laundry, heated pool and delicious ice cream at the Coneheads Ice Cream Shop on-site.

As a Magnuson Hotels affiliate, the Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach will receive complete brand representation across North America and the UK, without the costs and requirements of franchise brand affiliation. In contrast to traditional hotel chains that charge a percentage of total hotel revenue, the Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach will increase its net income with higher market exposure at a lower cost, as all direct revenue to the hotel is non-commissionable and royalty free.

The Magnuson Hotel Clearwater Beach is backed by the quality standards of the world’s largest independent hotel group, and will receive a 10 percent brand rebate to be paid every six months.
