LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Sculptor Alex Carbet of Las Vegas will get a good night’s sleep on a new $3,000 mattress which he won, along with $1,000 cash, for carving a sculpture out of foam in a competition sponsored by memory foam mattress manufacturer Anatomic Global.

AlexCarbet-Winner

Winner Alex Carbet stands by his sculptor of Comfort by Design.

Carbet and three painters, Diane Mifsud Giusti, Beti Kristof and Niki Sands, painted and sculpted for two days at the Anatomic Global showroom at last month’s Las Vegas Furniture Market to illustrate Anatomic Global’s new brand of premium memory foam mattress, Comfort by Design.

Furniture retailers and buyers who attended the market voted to select the winner.  Painter Beti Krisof was the first runner up.

“The artwork produced for this project was beautiful beyond our expectations,” said Anatomic Global CEO David Farley.  “The artists truly captured our themes of comfort and design in imaginative and insightful ways.”

Anatomic Global sponsored the contest to illustrate the company’s dedication to innovation in comfort, support and design.
